Our story

Symmetry was established in 2008, when a group of entrepreneurs founded a new company focused on improving Americans’ lives. In just ten years, Symmetry had become synonymous with residential elevators across North America, consistently ranking at the top of Forbes’ Best Home Elevators list.

In 2022, Symmetry joined the Cibes Lift Group, a Swedish elevator manufacturer that has been building elevators and lifts for more than 75 years, to become Cibes Symmetry. The merger combined Swedish innovation and design with US craftsmanship and expertise, giving the company close to a century of combined knowledge.

Made in the USA and Sweden

Cibes Elevator manufacturing facilities operate in both the United States and Sweden. All of Cibes’ elevator products meet or exceed all U.S. National Codes and jurisdictional requirements. The Ascenda is designed to comply with ASME A17.1 Section 5.3 as it pertains to residential elevators and portions of the European Standard (EN81-41).

A nationwide dealer network

Cibes Symmetry sells and installs through a nationwide network of trained, certified dealers. The installer will be your single point of contact for the initial site survey, lift installation, and ongoing maintenance needs from the time they provide an estimate for your project until the annual service is due. We also work directly with architects and general contractors who are installing or renovating buildings.
